Best Restaurants Inside Hotels in Berlin 2026

Dining rooms inside hotels · Berlin · 6 ranked · Updated June 2026

FACIL hides behind a bamboo garden on the fifth floor of the Mandala, two Michelin stars over the traffic of Potsdamer Platz. Berlin's best hotel dining is like that: not the breakfast buffet, but standalone rooms that happen to sit inside a hotel and hold their own against the city's freestanding kitchens. Below are six, ranked on the kitchen first, with the current chef, price and star count checked against the 2026 guide.

1.FACIL

Modern fine dining · The Mandala Hotel · Two Michelin stars

Berlin's highest-rated hotel dining room, two stars in a glass garden pavilion at the Mandala. Reserve it for the city's benchmark hotel tasting menu.

FACIL is the fifth-floor dining room of The Mandala Hotel at Potsdamer Strasse 3, a glass pavilion wrapped in a bamboo courtyard above Potsdamer Platz. Chef Michael Kempf has run the kitchen since 2001 and holds two Michelin stars, confirmed again in the Berlin 2026 guide, which makes it the most decorated hotel restaurant in the city. The format is a refined tasting menu from around 200 euros, classical at its base with Mediterranean and Asian accents. This is the booking for a landmark hotel dinner that stands with the city's best freestanding rooms.

Reserve two to three weeks ahead through the hotel, take the full menu, and go at lunch for a gentler entry to the same kitchen.

Book on the Mandala site; take the tasting menu and a wine flight.

2.Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer

French fine dining · Hotel Adlon Kempinski · One Michelin star

The Adlon's grand room over the Brandenburg Gate, newly led by Jonas Zörner. Book it for classic luxury-hotel dining with the city's best address.

Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer sits on the first floor of the Hotel Adlon Kempinski at Unter den Linden 77, with windows onto the Brandenburg Gate and Pariser Platz. Jonas Zörner took over the kitchen in February 2025, succeeding Reto Brändli, and the room holds one Michelin star in the current guide. The cooking is French-based with Asian touches across set menus of up to six courses, backed by a cellar of more than 1,600 labels. This is the most formal hotel address in Berlin, the room for a grand, traditional dinner at the city's most famous hotel.

Reserve two to three weeks ahead, ask for a window table toward the gate, and lean on the sommelier for the cellar.

Book on the Adlon site; request a Brandenburg Gate-facing table.

3.Hugos

Modern European · InterContinental Berlin · One Michelin star

A fourteenth-floor room that has held a star since 1999, high in the InterContinental. Reserve it for hotel dining with a skyline and a long pedigree.

Hugos occupies the fourteenth floor of the InterContinental Berlin at Budapester Strasse 2, looking over the Tiergarten and City West. It has held a Michelin star without a break since 1999, the steadiest record of any hotel room in the city, with three Gault&Millau toques. Johannes Gehrich became head chef in early 2026 after Eberhard Lange retired, and recent menus run to brook trout with imperial caviar across a six-course set at around 185 euros, up to about 240 for eight. This is the hotel booking that pairs serious cooking with the best high-floor view of the six.

Reserve two to three weeks ahead, go Wednesday to Saturday, and ask for a window table for the skyline.

Book on the InterContinental site; request a window for sunset.

4.Skykitchen

Modern · Vienna House Andel's · One Michelin star

A one-star room twelve floors up at the Andel's, with the widest panorama of any hotel kitchen here. Book it for a starred dinner over the old East.

Skykitchen sits on the twelfth floor of the Vienna House by Wyndham Andel's at Landsberger Allee 106 in Lichtenberg, with a sweeping view over the old East Berlin. Chef Alexander Koppe has held a Michelin star for eleven consecutive years, reconfirmed in 2025, on the strength of dishes such as his onsen egg, served across the multi-course Voyage menu at around 149 euros. It is the best-value starred hotel room in the city and the one with the most dramatic outlook, a notch below FACIL and the Adlon on polish but ahead on the view.

Reserve two weeks ahead, take a window table, and time it for the last light over the city.

Book on the Skykitchen site; ask for a window table at dusk.

5.NENI Berlin

Eastern Mediterranean · 25hours Hotel Bikini · Rooftop terrace

The 25hours Bikini's tenth-floor terrace over the Tiergarten, the best design-hotel room in town. Book it for a relaxed, scene-y dinner rather than a tasting menu.

NENI Berlin is on the tenth floor of the 25hours Hotel Bikini at Budapester Strasse 40, a green-house dining room and terrace over the Tiergarten and the zoo, with the Monkey Bar alongside. Haya Molcho's NENI concept runs Eastern Mediterranean sharing plates, mezze, hummus and Jerusalem-style spreads, with mains around 20 to 30 euros. It opened with the hotel in 2014 and is Berlin's best-known design-hotel restaurant. This is the casual, fun end of hotel dining, the room for a long, social dinner with a view rather than a hushed tasting.

Reserve a terrace table ahead in summer, order to share, and start at the Monkey Bar next door.

Book on the 25hours site; ask for the terrace and share plates.

6.Grace

Asian-European · Hotel Zoo Berlin · Ku'damm boutique

A glamorous townhouse room on the Ku'damm inside Hotel Zoo, with a reopened roof terrace. Book it for design-led hotel dining in City West.

Grace is the restaurant of Hotel Zoo Berlin at Kurfürstendamm 25 in Charlottenburg, a Dayna Lee-designed room behind the boutique hotel's Ku'damm address, with creative direction from chef Martin Bruhn and a roof terrace that reopened in June 2026. The cooking crosses Asian and European influences across an upmarket menu, with a glamorous, low-lit room that has long drawn a City West crowd. It is not Michelin-starred, so it sits at the foot of this list, but it is the most stylish boutique-hotel dining in the west of the city.

Reserve ahead for a weekend, ask about the roof terrace in summer, and treat it as a dressed-up night out.

Book on the Hotel Zoo site; ask for the roof terrace in summer.

Hotel rooms to skip

Famous names that have closed

5-cinco by Paco Pérez. The once-starred restaurant at the SO/ Berlin Das Stue has closed; the hotel now lists only its other outlets. Do not plan a dinner around it, whatever old guides still say.

Die Quadriga. The former one-star room at the Brandenburger Hof is gone, and the hotel itself has been rebranded. It turns up in older lists, but there is no current restaurant to book.

How to book Berlin hotel dining

For the starred rooms, FACIL, the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer, Hugos and Skykitchen, book two to three weeks ahead through the hotel and ask for the table you want, a window at Hugos or Skykitchen, a gate-facing seat at the Adlon. Lunch at FACIL is the smart way into a two-star kitchen for less, if the hotel runs it that week.

NENI and Grace are the relaxed end: reserve a terrace table in summer well ahead, since both rooftops fill, but you can go for a single course and a drink rather than a full menu. Across all six, tell the hotel if you are celebrating, since these rooms are set up to make a night of it.

Frequently asked

Which Berlin hotel has the best restaurant?

The Mandala Hotel, whose fifth-floor restaurant FACIL holds two Michelin stars under chef Michael Kempf, the highest rating of any hotel dining room in Berlin. Close behind are the Hotel Adlon Kempinski, with the one-star Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer over the Brandenburg Gate, and the InterContinental, whose Hugos has held a star since 1999.

Which Berlin hotel restaurants have a Michelin star?

Four on this list: FACIL at The Mandala holds two stars, while Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer at the Hotel Adlon, Hugos at the InterContinental and Skykitchen at the Vienna House Andel's each hold one in the 2026 guide. NENI at the 25hours Bikini and Grace at Hotel Zoo are strong rooms but not starred.

Who is the chef at the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer now?

Jonas Zörner, who took over the kitchen of the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski in February 2025, succeeding Reto Brändli. A Berliner who trained at FACIL and the Dolder Grand, he holds the room's one Michelin star, cooking French-based set menus of up to six courses backed by a cellar of more than 1,600 labels.

Can you eat at these Berlin hotel restaurants without staying there?

Yes. All six are open to outside guests, not just hotel residents, and most regulars at FACIL, the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer, Hugos and Skykitchen are Berliners booking dinner rather than hotel guests. Reserve through the hotel's own site two to three weeks ahead for the starred rooms, and ask for the specific table you want.

Which Berlin hotel restaurant has the best view?

Hugos, on the fourteenth floor of the InterContinental over the Tiergarten, and Skykitchen, twelve floors up at the Vienna House Andel's over the old East, are the two view-led hotel rooms, both Michelin-starred. NENI's tenth-floor terrace at the 25hours Bikini has the most relaxed view, straight over the Tiergarten and the zoo, but it is a casual room rather than a tasting-menu one.
